Concept Summary:

Commonly a group of families will pool their resources to produce a shelter, which in an emergency, they will all share. Under these circumstances, there are numerous human factors that are unique to each client that are best considered prior to purchasing a bunker. The list below are the ones we consider important for your success and safety.

   Goals/Objectives:   What are your over all goals, and objectives?   Why do you want a bunker.   Obviously it is to protect yourself and your family, but the first questions are:
          What are you seeking protection from?
          How long do you expect to be in your bunker?

Where Do You Want to Build Your Bunker? Why did you choose this location? On what did you base this decision? Take a moment to sit quietly and ask, "Will this the best location to serve my overall goals and objectives?"

Your Bunker Partners: Have you considered the goals, objectives and the well being of the other people who will share your bunker with you? Have you talked with them about their needs and desires?

Secrecy Adds Security: The fewer people who know about your bunker, the safer you are.

Bunker only or a Bunker Plus an above ground house/ home: Do you want a bunker only or do you also want an above ground structure?

You may think that some these questions are irrelevant. Because your survival and your family's survival is on the line, these question are in need of consideration.

How Old Is Each of You Bunker Partners? This is more about physical capacity and special needs than it is about age. You also need to plan for the care that young children require.

What is Your Background: What skill do you have that will be needed while living in your bunker? You must also consider your limitations. What can't you do?

Pets: If you have pets, what will you do with them in an emergency?

Medical Conditions: Does any of your bunker partners require any ongoing, medical attention? What will you do if someone gets sick or is injured?

Your Personal Religious/Spiritual Beliefs: Your personal beliefs, religious and otherwise will be with you in your bunker. They will be an underlying factor in determining your behavior and the behavior of you bunker partners.
