Our First Safe-Haven Community Will be Located  in California, North of San Francisco and south of the Oregon border.   We are also capable of building a similar complex at some other location.

Several considerations are factored into the equation for finding the most appropriate site.  Topography, Roads and Access, Adjacent and nearby property,  Rainfall, Airport access, Access to a local community,  Local vegetation, Overall ambiance.

Topography 

What is the property description?  

What is the elevation?

Are there any lakes, river, streams nearby? 

Is the site  hilly, level, sloping, etc. 

What is the soil type -- Is it loam. sandy, rocky?  Are there solid rock areas?

What is the general topography of the surrounding area?

What is the view?

Rainfall  Snow 

How much rainfall does the property receive?   Is it year around or is it seasonal?  

How much snow is there in the winter.   

Are the roads passable in the winter season?

Roads and Access   

What are the access roads like? 

What are the roads surface?  

Are there any steep hills?  

Do the roads cross any streams or rivers

Are they usable in winter? 

Are they usable after a heavy rain

Is there existing access to potable water?

Are there any springs or streams on the property

Can a well provide sufficient water?

Seeking Potential Properties 

We are looking for the appropriate properties.   We've initiated our search in four, northern California counties:  Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, and Mendocino.   We're open to other areas.   This is simply our starting point.  

We are looking for two types of sites:   The single family unit sites  and  the site of our first NorCal Safe-Haven Community.
